Therapies

  • Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine based on the principle that the body's structure and function are interrelated, where disturbances in one can affect the other, potentially impacting on overall health and well-being.

Osteopathy sees the body as an integrated whole, all its parts are interconnected and function together. Dysfunction or imbalance in one area of the body can have repercussions elsewhere, so osteopathic assessment and treatment consider the entire body. It emphasises the relationship between the musculoskeletal and the nervous systems and also their potential to also affect the other systems of the body.

  • Visceral Osteopathy

Visceral manipulation is a form of osteopathy that focuses on the internal organs of the body. The organs like the muscles and bones, can be affected by physical strains, restrictions, or tensions, which may lead to functional problems, movement restriction and pain.

It consists of gentle, specifically placed manual forces that encourage normal mobility, tone and the inherent tissue motion of the organs and their connective tissue as well as any other areas of the body where physiological motion has been impaired.

  • Dry Needling

Dry needling is a technique that involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into the skin and underlying tissues to treat trigger points, (which are small, hyperirritable painful knots in muscles), myofascial pain, and restricted range of motion.
